December 7th, 2020 Message:

To Our Patients:

We hope that this letter finds you and your family in good health. Our community has been through a lot in the last few months, and all of us are looking forward to resuming our normal routines. While many things have changed, one thing has remained the same at San Pablo Smiles: our commitment to your safety.

Infection control has always been a top priority in our practice, and you may have seen this during your visits in the past. Our infection control processes are made so that when you receive care, it is both safe and comfortable.

Our office follows infection control recommendations made by the California Dental Association, the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, and the Occupational Safety and Health Administration. We closely follow the activities of these agencies so that we are up to date on any new rulings or guidance that may be issued. We do this to make sure that our infection control procedures are current and adhere to each agencies’ recommendation.

Your Health and Safety is Our Priority

You may see some changes when it is time for your next appointment. We made these changes to help protect our patients and staff.  For example:

  • Our team is screened everyday
  • Patient screenings during confirmation call and day of appointment
  • Contactless thermometer will be used to measure each patient’s temperature

Protocol

  • All patients will be asked to use a pre-procedural peroxide rinse
  • Appointment times will allow for social distancing between patients while in the office
  • Designated appointment times for senior patients

Appointments

  • All patients are asked to wear a mask to the appointment
  • Number of patients in waiting area will be restricted, parents/guardians should wait in their cars
  • Please call us from your car upon arrival and when your room is ready, we will call you in

Cleanliness and Safety

  • Medical Grade H13 HEPA filters throughout the office
  • Plexiglass barriers at front desk
  • Electronic forms on office iPads will be used and are routinely sanitized after every patient

Standard protocols we already perform and will continue to follow:

  • Medical grade disinfection products proven effective against SARS-COV-2
